2019 Age Level Rules

8U Rules

**8U Rules are located in the top menu of the Home Page**

10U Rules

AYL will follow US Lacrosse Boys Rules with the following exceptions:

  1. No long poles
  2. No timeouts
  3. Penalties stop on all timeouts
  4. 22min running halves
  5. Substitutions ONLY on dead balls.  Please notify the refs that you are subbing.  
  6. We allow partial or full substitutions.  US Lacrosse only allows full team substitutions. 
  7. All penalties are time and a half (1min penalty = 90sec of running time)
  8. No QUICK restarts at development level
  9. Each team must provide a parent resource to the scorer's table to assist with time and score.  No more than 1 person from each team may be at the scorer's table.  

12U 7V7

AYL will follow US Lacrosse Boys Rules with the following exceptions:

  1. No long poles
  2. No timeouts
  3. 22min running halves
  4. All penalties are time and a half (1min penalty = 90sec of running time)
  5. Everyone (except goalies) released on whistle.  
  6. Offsides in effect 
  7. No QUICK restarts at development level
  8. Each team must provide a parent resource to the scorer's table to assist with time and score.  No more that 1 person from each team may be at the scorer's table.

12U and 14U (10v10)

We will follow US Lacrosse Boys Rules with the following exceptions:

  1. One timeout per game
  2. On timeouts, clock stops when 2min left in game or less
  3. All penalties are time and a half (1min penalty =  90sec of running time)
  4. 14U ONLY has all counts (20sec defensive clear, 10sec initial offensive touch)
  5. 14U ONLY has stalling for team with 4 goal lead or less.  
  6. Each team must provide a parent resource to the scorer's table to assist with time and score.  No more than 1 person from each team may be at the scorer's table.
